Kelly Laws or "KellyGirl" decided after a layoff in June 2011 to create a forum that connected women with beauty and fashion professionals. This forum would help women embark on their dream careers. This dream became a reality in the form of, "Beauty and Fashion Connection." Through much prayer she believed God would provide the format, the place, the women and the facilitators and he did.
With many years of experience in beauty, fashion, teaching and facilitating, she can now share these resources with her audience in the form of "connections." During those years she met many incredible women who were living out their dream careers in the beauty and fashion field. These professionals have partnered with her vision and will share their "wealth" with women who are ready for a career change or who simply want to look and feel beautiful.
Beauty And Fashion Connection was created to meet the needs of three distinct women: The aspiring beauty and fashion professional, the established beauty/fashion professional as well as the woman who wants to stay beautiful. The Mission of BFC is to create a forum to prepare these three women in the areas of beauty and fashion. The aspiring woman is longing to be an industry professional but does not have the resources or support to move forward. The established woman is in need of more marketing and connection opportunities as well as beauty and fashion conferences for further education and our third woman is in need of beauty and fashion techniques. We will connect these women through workshops, expos, internships, conferences and other methods.
KellyGirl's dream is to have a building that would house the entire vision in one location. This resource center will serve not only her community, but anyone who would love to experience what Beauty and Fashion Connection has to offer. This resource center will house a makeup studio, clothing design studio, clothing styling area for trunk shows, millenery and cobbling studio, boutique for the designs that the women create, fashion and beauty library/resource center, and workshop spaces. You can join the vision by donating time, resources, financial support, or other means as we continue to meet the needs of women who are not afraid to dream.
